PREREQUISITE: CHMY 141 and CHMY 143; BIOB 256 and BIOB 260; at least junior standing, GPA >3.0 and consent of instructor. This shadowing experience will provide students with the opportunity to observe providers in a clinical setting and position them to meet, in part, the requirements for application to health professional school.

Summer Session 2017 offers the following series of science and mathematics courses designed to meet the special academic needs of students who plan to apply to medical, dental, or other health professional schools. The scheduling for this series of courses has been developed to allow students to enroll in one of the Chemistry courses and one of the Physics, Mathematics, or Statistics courses during each of MSU’s two six-week summer sessions, thus enabling students to earn up to 16 science and mathematics credits in only 12 weeks. Other courses available to pre-med students this summer are SOCI 101IIS - Introduction to Sociology for 3 cr, MEDS 440 - Clinical Observation for 2 cr, PSYX100 - Introduction to Psychology for 4 cr.
