M.Eng. in Chemical Engineering

General Requirements

  • 30 credits total
  • at least 21 of the total credits required for degree must be at 5xx level
  • 3xx level courses are not allowed
  • 4xx level courses may be used
  • Courses with grades below C- cannot be used to satisfy graduate requirements
  • Three credits (min.) registration required during term of graduation
  • Max of 6 credits of independent study courses (ECHM 592)

Program Learning Outcomes

  • Integrated knowledge of the sciences and engineering fundamentals.
  • Proficient in the use of modern techniques, tools, procedures, and information sources which are useful in the solution of problems in chemical engineering.
  • Apply their scientific knowledge and engineering tools and techniques to design solutions that address problems relevant to human health, chemical processing, energy, environment, or other emerging areas.
  • Breadth and depth of knowledge, and a commitment to continued learning, necessary to understand the economic, social, and ethical aspects of their work, and to effectively communicate the results of their work to a diverse audience.
