ARAB 101  Elementary Modern Arabic I: 3 Credits (3 Lec)

(F) An elementary level course designed to facilitate students' acquisition of basic proficiency in communication within culturally significant contexts. Students learn Modern Standard Arabic language skills in an environment integrating interactive video and classroom instruction.

ARAB 102D  Elementary Modern Arabic II: 3 Credits (3 Lec)

PREREQUISITE: ARAB 101 or consent of instructor. (Sp) This course builds upon the foundation established in 101. Greater emphasis is placed upon oral and written expression. Cultural issues are explored in an environment integrating interactive video and classroom instruction

ARAB 291  Special Topics: 1-4 Credits (1-4 Lec)

PREREQUISITE: None required but some may be determined necessary by each offering department
Courses not required in any curriculum for which there is a particular one-time need, or given on a trial basis to determine acceptability and demand before requesting a regular course number.
Repeatable up to 12 credits.
