CAA 290R Collaborative Rsch/Creative: 1-4 Credits (1 Other)
Intended for lower division undergraduate research and creative projects undertaken in an interdisciplinary team format. The student will work closely with students and faculty colleagues seeking creative project solutions while exploring innovative methods of collaborative problem solving. Course will address responsible conduct of research. May be repeated.

CAA 310 The Art of Mental Healing: 3 Credits (3 Lec, 3 Other)
PREREQUISITE: Sophomore standing and WRIT 101W. CAA 310 explores the intersections among mental, physical and emotional health using scholarship, the expressive arts and movement. Content knowledge, wellness tools and expressive art will be used throughout to support wellness and culminating in the sharing of a final creative project

- Comprehension (Connect) (discussion, creative projects, weekly journaling, visiting guests)\\n• comprehend a deeper understanding of self and emotion regulation\\n• identify the connection between a particular cognitive task and brain activation \\n• use the creative arts for self-expression and communication \\n• develop an understanding of mental health issues and empathy for those affected by mental illness or with different cognitive processing styles\\n• communicate through non-verbal forms of communication, including drawing, movement and sound

CAA 481 CAA Ambassador Seminar: 1 Credits (1 Other)
PREREQUISITE: Sophomore standing or above in the College of Arts & Architecture. (F, Sp) The CAA Ambassador Seminar provides students from the four schools within the College of Arts and Architecture opportunities to experience and demonstrate leadership, deliver peer mentoring, and advocacy. Participants will gain experience as mentors and serve as advocates within their school and the college, as well as develop a working knowledge about all of the areas of study within the college and the values of those areas
