OSH 110 OSHA 10 Safety Training for Construction Trades: 1 Credits (1 Lec)
This course provides OSHA's 10-hour Construction safety training and an introduction to industry specific workplace safety expectations. Students may become certified upon successful completion of 15 hours of lecture and training, and related Occupational Safety and Health Administration quizzes and exams.

- Explain the role of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA.)
- Recognize safety hazards that exist within the materials, tools, and techniques of the construction industry.
- Select the correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for different types of work performed and demonstrate proper outfitting of basic PPE.
- Describe safe and ergonomic methods for handling various types of construction material along with basic hand and power tools.
- Summarize overall jobsite safety, the importance in creating a culture of safety, and three-way communication for hazards.
- Discuss potential employer safety expectations, industry occupations and opportunities, additional training and education resources, and the process and skills for successful employment attainment.
