PLUM 170  Plumbing Codes: 2 Credits (2 Lec)

This course is a study of the Uniform Plumbing Code for the State of Montana, its regulation of plumbing practices for environmental sanitation and public health, and the materials and installation methods used to minimize potential service and maintenance needs.

  1. Interpret the theory, concepts and terminology as defined and regulated by the Uniform Plumbing Code, including a summary of the process used to formulate plumbing codes
  2. Describe the Uniform Plumbing Code, as amended and adopted for use in the State of Montana
  3. Explain the materials and installation practices specified, required, and regulated by the Uniform Plumbing Code
  4. Discuss the application of State and federal regulations to ensure environmental sanitation
